It all began with Dupre watching his father flipping flat bread in a pan, experimenting with grits, ham and gravy... staples in all Southern homes. The sounds, smells and tastes of a Sunday morning breakfast made an impression on Dupre.

He spent the early years of his career in the real estate business but in 1977 he delivered a tray of sandwiches to a sales group on North Main Street and the rest is history! Dupre formed one of Columbia's longest operating catering busineses, Catering by Dupre.

Today you will find Dupre on Senate Street working with his son, Bobby, and their staff, serving the same wonderful Southern inspired cuisine that has pleased the palates of folks in the Midlands for more than 30 years.
